The following Big Bopper replica was built for use in the Back 2 The Max documentary, and was used during the airfield filming - the Broken Hill car was sold by the owner before filming of the documentary was complete, hence this replacement car being built. The car can sometimes be seen at Easternats, the Phillip Island custom car show, or cruising the streets of Melbourne...

The car's features are as follows:

  • Australian Ford Falcon,1975 XB 4 door sedan (approx 70,000 original miles on the clock).

  • Originally a 6 cylinder, the car now features a 302 V8 as per the film car.

  • Column shift, C10 Automatic transmission.

  • 302 Black Block, 2V heads, 4 barrel holley. Hei ignition. Twin exhaust system.

  • Correct colour coded rims, and original XT Renegade tyres, brand new. They haven't made these tyres for 20 years!

  • Original Mad Max body kit, from the original movie moulds used for the film.

  • Correct paint scheme (down to the overspray), and correctly matched paint colours, in 2 pak finish.

  • Tan bench seats.
