You are right about the roll bar being higher. After your comment, I went and did a little studying to figure out why. The bucket seats they used in the truck sit about 5-6 inches lower than stock seat. I based my dimentions on my son sitting in the truck and making them same height as his head. Didn't take into account the buckets being lower. Now I have to decide if I want to leave the seat stock height or lower it and change everything. Leaving it as is will mean a higher windscreen as well.

Photos can be deceiving, and for some things I think you're better off just giving it your best guess. For example, I don't think you cut the rear and too short. I assume you plan on adding in the diamond plate bumber? Its corners are very rounded, and that alone might give you another eight inches in the rear.

But for the windshield, I say go with the pics you have already. I'd use the windshield height as a starting point for the rollbars behind the seats.

I know some people get crazy about all the details (such as the angle you mentioned on the tow assembly) but it looks to me like you're doing fine.

About the louvers, I say go for the rear thing for sure.

Pictures can be deceiving, but I do like the idea of comparison shots to check accuracy.

These two images may not be exactly lined up top to bottom, but they're pretty close. The wheelbase is just about right on, but the door locks are slightly farther forward on the blue truck.

Anyway, I think this shot gives the best example of what I was talking about with the rollbar. I also drew a green line on the red truck from the center of the rear wheel up through the body line and then copied that same line over to the blue truck.

Maybe I'm not helping? Hopefully I am. I copied the windshield over too.

Second cut on the bed. Right side done and a little red paint to top it off. The roll bars appear to be grey in color, but I have a case of this cheap aluminium paint that goes kinda grey after a couple of weeks in the weather. I'll paint the bars with this and if it don't look right I can hit it with a little grey to fix it.
