I did a MM1 version from the Biante 1/18 car about 5 years ago, the parts cost me about $150 back then from ebay.
The two cars do look good side by side...

You've lost me, other version? This one had the removable front. I just chopped it up to add the remaining bit to the driver side. Even with the front still on it's movie correct. I just prefered this beaten up look so didn't mind cutting up the nose cone.

I bet they do.. If i was smart i would have purchased two back then but i just expected there to be one released after the MM2 car. Thought wrong there as we all know.

Your weathering looks great! It looks very genuine.

I was scoping out the autoarts Interceptors, clean vs dirty. The problem from what I could tell in pics is with the dirty ones they seem sort of just flatly airbrushed. The weathering is very even, and so maybe not worth the extra $$.

I wound up buying the clean autoarts 1:43 scale set and am going to see what I can do to dirty them up. I'm hoping acrylics will stick to whatever type of paint was used (enamel probably).

Thanks and i'm sure you'll have fun with that twin set. I just used some ground down pastels and a white Tamiya weathering stick for the most part for the weathering.

Thanks

i had the first release when it was available . if you look at both front wings in the film after the crash they are different . the removable nose cone doesnt represent that.

When you're posting there's 'Upload attachment' option. Upload a picture through that and then 'place inline'.
