Need advice on my Big Bopper......

Postby scag66 » Thu Jun 04, 2015 5:33 pm

Hey Guys,

Was lucky enough to get the three Planet X models a few years back and got to work on the MFP Monaro and Max`s four door pretty quick. They need a pro`s touch for some of the finishing but as a rookie, I`m happy with the result.

I`ve been putting off the Big Bopper for a long time now as its a step above build for me but recently found some full body decals on ebay that would save a lot of trouble.

The question I have is the decals are for 1:24 and the Planet X Big Bopper I have is 1:25, will the decals fit the model or is a situation that the numbers have to match?

Cheers.

The decals i used came from 'pattos place' and fit ok on the Planetx falcon. The Interceptor is from the parts box shop. I didn't like the flatened front on it, so i extended it for a more correct front.

Thanks aussie muscle. Great work, what did you use for the chrome trimming? Really pops.

The 1:24 decals were too big for the 1:25 model but with some trimming should turn out ok.

Also got this kit years ago that after all the right parts have been added and taken away, should be the Goose`s bike.
It didn't come with any instructions so if anybody can give any input it would be very helpful.

Bare Metal Foil

get it from your hobby shop. cut small strips, stick it over the trim and cut away excess with a NEW hobby blade (needs to be new to stop it tearing).

mods to my PlanetX interceptor to make into Big Bopper, included fixing the ugly incorrect front
