From the July 7, 1979 Sydney Morning Herald, we have this scathing indictment of "Mad Max" that grudingly admits it's well-crafted, despite lacking any social value:

Thats fantastic! I love the quality of the review, too; she doesn't like the film, but reviews it with more care than most writers you see these days working on stuff they like :)

As for the X1/9, they are indeed fab little cars ... it's a pity that none of the Fiats sold in the UK got to have any undercoating, only the most carefully kept examples ever survived our winters
Whoever they send here, we're gonna catch 'em, we're gonna cook 'em, and we're gonna eat 'em!

And as one of many I'm now fitting an Uno Turbo engine into it. Someone else of our club already sooped it up to almost 200 bhp.
"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

That IS a fine looking car
If I had the resources to import one Aussie muscle car,
I'd get a Monaro over the Falcon
