For you max enthusiasts all interceptor shots are located in the beginning of the movie, so you don't have to suffer trough the entire movie. Although there are some nice cars out there!

What are the pipes (roll bars?) at knee bashing level in the interceptor? That looks wrong.

ok, but were they in the movie version? I don't recall seeing them there, and I've not seen them in any other replicas I've seen.

The roll cage is barely seen in the actual movie and there are no shots of the foot well.

In the forth picture down you can see the roll cage set up in the movie car.

I think there is only about 5 MM2 replicas and only 3 or 4 actually have the full roll cage fitted.

This car is considered to be the "3rd" car. Even though it never featured in the movies the caretaker considers it to be the 3rd as the people that helped build the original had their hands on this one. At any rate it was the first replica ever built. And an awesome replica it is!

As for the roll cage, every roll cage out there is at knee bashing and head bashing level. But I'd rather bash my knees than loose em when in the event you roll your car. It's also one of the main reasons racecar driver wear helmets...

LAST V8 1, 2, 3 etc was the rego numbers attached to the cars by its builder Scott Smith.
LAST V8 1 was sold to a guy in the USA, 2 was sold to an aussie guy who then sold the car to Jake, and 3 was built for another aussie owner.

RAOFLMAO! WHAT? who fed you that crock of shit? Who exactly considers it to be the 3rd car? keep it real dickead,Ive seen this car real close up and if the people who built the original had their hands on this one then they must have been heavily on the piss at the time.

@roadwarriormfp -> I was under the impression Jake owned the first Last V8. He told me it was the one featured in the back to the max video amongst other things. He has taken care of it since 2004.

@fullofit -> Whoever you really are on this forum, you should not create an alias just so you can vent. Use your real name, or stay out of it. Keep the dickhead comments to yourself.
I used quotes because there never was a 3rd car. You can however consider it a 3rd car because it was one of the first replicas built, with direction of the original builders. That's all there is to say.

No the first car Scott built went to Charles Flender, the confusion may be pictures of the car with the the number plates LAST V8. He has kept the plates and each time applied them to the "next" car he builds...
