An old Wez question.

For any discussions at all relating to the movies

An old Wez question.

Postby rockatansky4073 » Fri Jul 15, 2016 11:29 pm

Can anyone read lips?
Does anyone anywhere know what on earth Wez is so pissed off about in this scene?
It's obviously something related to the attacks around the compound, he's pointing in that direction twice.
Asked this question in the past, but no one had any answers, maybe new members might :D

He'll be arguing about how the attack should proceed. I think the shot's point is to show that Wez is an impatient hot-head and the Humungus a strategic planner - basically to highlight the conflict in the leadership.
If you recall, in the final showdown he keeps Wez on a chain until the chase gets underway.
Looks like I got me some guzzoline eh....V-8?

To me Wez is telling about the encounter with Max on the highway from the opening sequence. There is a cut in that scene back to Max looking through the binoculars which reaffirms / reminds the audience that the nemesis from the first scene now ties in with the main antagonist being the gang as a whole. Then that theme of Wez being the single most identifible villian to Max follows throughout the movie, while the gang as a whole is the primary antagonist of the movie - Wez is sort of a particular nemesis to Max (think encouter at the compound, encounter at destruction of interceptor, etc.). And I believe the reason for that is the character of Wez is really the highest form of degenerate in the MM2 world; the furthest from civilization, most barbaric, the most "far gone".

Yeah, years ago, someone said they thought it was Wez bringing news of his encounter with Max.

But 1, that was 2 days ago and Wez has been back longer than that, it's Max who wandered off and took 2 days to get to where he is.
And 2, why would Wez be pointing behind him and pissed off at something going on over there.
The shot of Max recognising Wez, i think was simply just THAT - 'oh shit that's that prick who nearly threw down on me a couple days ago' and for us to be aware that this guy isn't done with Max yet.

I always believed it was like what PL-12 said and is something to do with the battle and how whatever is going on over there, Wez disagrees with.

I just wanna know what it is exactly Wez is yelling - last words look like BRICK WALL or BULL SHIT.

Need a lip reader to translate :)

THE HILLSIDE ACROSS FROM THE COMPOUND.

A huge, muscular man - his face covered by a metal mask
- sits in a bizarre six-wheeled vehicle. He uses a
microphone to shout orders to the MARAUDERS, directing
the course of the battle. This man is the HUMUNGUS.

Beside him, is the Mohawk Biker called WEZ. He sits
astride his bike, the GOLDEN YOUTH clinging to his
waist. He speaks with HUMUNGUS, pointing, sweeping his
hand.

That's about it!

Bingo

Its typical George telling a story/scene/plot etc where you don't need dialogue or even volume to work out whats going on.

The important thing about this scene is that Wez is more concerned with the strategy of battle than pillaging. This is completely contrasted by the scene where Max ends up in exactly the same predicament but Wez states "If he's alive, I want him!"

It also sets up the tone for the story conclusion; without Wez and Humongous barking orders, the marauders can't operate as a pack.

I know the intention of the scene, i know why the scene is there.

I just want to know what Vernon was told to yell at Kjell.

It's not gibberish, it's definitely words and all i wanna know is what exactly is he saying???

Maybe Vernon Wells can remember what he was made to yell?
