Gekko dies of deshydratation.
Must be a great sequence.
Max shows his humanity even further.

Did Max not tell Gekko that Bartertown was Tomorrowmorrow Land as he was dying at the top of a sand dune and he could see the shimmer of light in the distance?

That scene was included in the Novelization.

I'd wandered what happened to Gekko prior to reading it.

Yeah. Great scene.

Even the "Crying Max" sequence is on the novelization. 8-)

I have a questions, fellows...

When Savannah Nix threw her spears to Max --- was she really willing to hit the guy or Max used his reflexes and was too quick to be hit? :o

I think she hit exactly where she aimed. A near miss equal to Max's near miss.

So did she just want to scare him and meant no harm? By the way Miller/Ogilvie edited the sequence, it seems like Max is quick enough to stop at the right places and not be hit by the spears. Reflexes...

Yes, Max stopped himself from stepping into it. She was showing him that she was just as skilled with her spear as he was with the 'thunderstick' and that she was not intimidated by him. She is one tough b*tch and has what it takes to survive in the wasteland.
