Not sure what to make of the tracked vehicle. That thing ain't gonna move fast at all, so I can't imagine it will be used in any of the "at speed" chase sequences. Perhaps it'll be something used to putter around sand dunes.

I used to watch this old documentary about the BigFoot trucks, the series that actually started the craze in America and by which the trucks were named for, I think BigFoot 8 or 10 (AKA BigFoot Traxx) ran on tracks rather than wheels, it was a delivery van body and ran two big blocks in the back, that thing could move...

Chewed the shit out of cars too..

EDIT: 'FastTrax'

The track's intermediate wheels (or whatever you want to call them) appear to be of a fairly wimpy build. They're nowhere near a big as the ones showcased on the Bigfoot pic you posted. They just don't look like they could support any kind of heavy duty usage. But hey, I'm no expert on the subject, so who knows.

Yeah a mate of mine pointed out that they looked like 'Buggy Dolly Wheels'

Either way, we'll just see what happens I guess.

I believe BigFoot Traxx was based around a standard APC chassis too, they just put more powerful engines in to go faster.

Certainly some very capable off-road machinery there. Looks more Thunderdome era in terms of extreme design, but appreciate the fuel issue mentioned.

I wonder if the Caddy will be getting bigger/wider tyres once off the transporter trailer?

The tracked vehicle on the trailer and the Ripsaw seem to have similar engineering in the track suspension.

So it's some kind of kit is it?
The one in the picture looks like an RC car.

I thought the suspension looked familiar. The Ripsaw is a prototype looking for a military contract. There was a reality show on one of the cable networks, I think it was Discovery, that was set in the outfit that built it. They have a few other tracked designs that are pretty cool.

I can't make out what the Bigfoot track is built on. It's either a M-113 or the Brit 432. The return roller spacing reminds me of the 432, but the thing is way customized. The road wheels would be a deciding factor but they too are custom. If the vehicle wasn't moving, we could prob tell from the track link design. I love track-layers. I used to be in a reenacting unit that had 2 Czech OT-810's that we were converting to look like wartime Kfz 251D's. There are 2 kinds of people in this world, those who have thrown a track and those who have yet too.
"There are over 550 million smallarms in worldwide circulation. That's one weapon for every 12 people on the planet. The only question is: How do we arm the other 11?"

"The Teutonic reputation for brutality is well founded. Their operas last for 3 or 4 days and they have no word for 'fluffy'."

After demoing this one 5 years ago they got a contract with the military. There's a version of RC Ripsaw mounted with a gun, controlled from another vehicle. Guys I think we've locked in on this one.
