Fury Road - my viewing

Postby PL-12Airtruk » Sat May 16, 2015 6:51 pm

I just saw Fury Road in 3D and was amazed by it overall. Just a few gripes however:

It seems to me the death of Imm. Joe was quite downbeat given the stature of the villian he was. I was
kind of epecting there to be a more prolonged tussle between him and Furiosa instead of him suddenly
being killed essientially "off camera" in the blink of eye...

Hoped Max might have jumped into his old Inteceptor (rebuilt in silver) in the chase but alas, it got
crunched up between the two trucks...

The world it was set in was so interesting but we just didn't get the time to see more of it. Would love
to have seen the "oil city" before Furiosa turned off into the desert.

I'd give it a 7/10 - would have been a 10 if the last part hadn't lost energy as much as it did and the final
scene was a bit more gripping? Pity Max didn't drive off in a rebuilt Interceptor...

Just an opinion on first viewing.

I'm still going back today to see it a second time though...still the best film I've seen in many years and
a definite worthy addition to the DVD colection thanks to the great characters, stunts and overall look
of the movie.
Looks like I got me some guzzoline eh....V-8?
