Just a few weeks to go now. I encourage all thinking of coming to make the effort. I have been to several events organsed by the back2themax group and they are all a excellent fan experience, and all different as I am sure this one will be. No doubt there will be bike fans, car fans, movie fans and a bunch of curious onlookers. If you miss out on the tickets you can still come, see the replicas and displays go on a tour and meet some of the crew, for me and others who have met Murray Smith it is hard to describe, he kind of talks and talks all super interesting stuff for a lunatic fan keen to hear from the man who worked on and owned the car for years. Just seeing replicas at the locations is worth the trip.

The sites are still almost identical to how they appear on film and it is a surreal experience to visit them.

I know that there are always those who regret coming to these events, so just do it! For those who are too far or cant come there will be photos posted I am sure.

I cant wait to see the look on the faces of the crew when they see the turn out for a movie they filmed here 30 years ago.

I'm just hoping they can get that "Kirk's Bridge" sign back up, notably missing from your bottom photo there - it seems to get souvenired by someone every few years or so!

AWESOME...... all the little problems form certain car buildups can get a bloke down, especially in a super short time frame. Seeing those pics gives me a second wind. Wish I could still be making noise in the shed at this late hour, but the good neigbours have already had a gutfull

Nice pictures

Not sure if I'm just weird but i get an excited feeling in the stomach when look at the pics. The recreation of this event is much like opening a time capsule. So many people have said i am stupid for trying to replicate the mad max sandman van, but i guess the just don't get it.

Looking forward to meeting everyone there.

Hey Troy I get it, I think we all do. There is a strange feeling when you visit the sites, they are just as they were in the movie, it is eerie especially as it was 30 years ago. Most movie sets are "dressed up" or these days covered or created by GCI, to go to a set that looks the same as it did on screen is amazing. Seeing replicas there is a fan's dream. Being there with other people who get it is what these events are all about. This event delivers all that and the chance to meet and talk to those who made the film and cars about how and why they did wht they did and how the idea developed into what we saw on film. This is the reason I am spending a fair bit to get there and be part of it.

I would love to get a shot of max's van and interceptor together.

To my knowledge this is the first replica van to be done to this extent. I think it would be great to get shot's with the vehicles together. Will give a good representation of max at home and at work.

Those above comments are quite humbling as an event like this knows no limits.Reading peoples interest and passion for not only Max inspired vehicles but also the sacrifices some will make to get to LR are inspiring.B2tmax is shaping up to be a very nostalgic event and promises not to disapoint.Good luck to all the guys out there working around the clock.It will be a priveledge to stand amongst you.Regards Scott
