Turn Signals

hey Justice, you lived here in the Netherlands?

It is true. Dutch people are very agressive drivers. Always looking how to irritate the other driver.
"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

I hate to see some arsehole driving like...an arsehole. But if the arsehole uses their turn signals, I'll cut them some slack. I really appreciate turn signals, it says you're kind of thinking about those around you, a little bit at least.

G,day , I drive a semi trailer around sydney australia and when you put your indacator on it means speed up and try and run into the truck or better drive under it !!!! , and the best part is it gives them the right to yell abuse because you had the nerve to get into THEIR lane . Then theres the rule that if there's a truck in front of them your allowed to do what ever you like to get pass it , HA HA HA HA but just to make the day interesting I make them work for it ! Sorry I got a little excited but that's truckin in oz , have a happy day .

I hate to offend Truckies, but you should see how they drive in Melbourne! Downright dangerous!

Sam and I used the highways quite a bit when we were down there for Easternats, and huge trucks would be tailgating and overtaking. Nothing like Sydney or Brisbane truckies. They must breed them different down there.

That's right! There was a B-train running less than a car-length behind a car more than once. There's no way the people in the car would survive. I imagine the trucks bullbar would end up about where the a-piller would be by the time it got stopped.

Around here, most folks think the turn signal is to let people know what you've just done.. rather than let them know what you're about to do.

The ones that really burn me are the ones that pull out in front of you & go half the speed limit when if they'd just waited five seconds, they could have pulled out behind you and not inconvenienced anyone.

I Swear.. people Try to get you to crash into them,

Looking for the insurance money, I guess.

Michigan traffic survival...I mean lane-change:

Look, start over, put signal on when wheel hits dotted line, second blink in middle of lane, third blink in other lane, shut signal off and hit brake because of tailgater speeding up.

You guys reckon its bad with turn signals and people speeding up.......I drive a fire engine and you wouldnt believe what folk do when they hear a siren,They wont pull over or slow down they think you must have twin turbos and can overtake. Then theres the people that regardless of your lights and sirens they feel that they are entitled to continue turning left or right and you can damn well go around them,,,,,yeah that makes for an eventfull trip !!!

Cheers

Holy irony Batman! I was going to make a joke and say "You're from Missouri, right?", but then I remembered you actually do live in Missouri.

One of the worst areas for what you described was US 63 between Jeff City and Rolla where it's too curvy to have any passable areas. And it was always 90 yr old farmers in 70's era pickup trucks.

I remember that you live in St Louis. If you see my brother, kick him in the nuts and tell him to give me back my money.

Hey Scummy, i havent been to Sydney in a while with a B double but for memory if the car is behind the A trailer tris, then you have the right away, if its in front of the tris, then you have to wait an let him pass. I would imagine with a single it would work on behind the bogie on the primemover.

Melbourne, yes I have learnt down there, that the other truckies have pushed there limits, but the car drivers have caused that attitude! go get em Kenworth!

now here in WA i drive a triple road train to Broome on a regular basis. and car drivers an those dam caravans absolute poop them selves when they realize your about to pass them with a truck thats 173 feet long and very very heavy and the best part is if the the car tries to mess with you well its easy just to slap him with that third trailer! hehe.

regards Grant

Though my folks own a cabin on Table Rock Lake in Southern MO.
